MY YOGA JOURNEY
I was introduced to yoga after struggling to find a way to cope with having M.E(Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic fatigue syndrome).
I used to live in London, UK, working for a magazine in the fashion industry with very little rest. In 2015 I reached my breaking point and found myself at rock bottom. I needed something to lift me.
At this point, I’d been practicing yoga on and off for five years, but something clicked and when I needed it most I naturally started to live my yoga. I began to explore holistic therapies and practise asana more regularly. After each class I felt a deep sense of solace. I began to understand my intrinsic connection to something higher, realising that I was part of something great.
After a few months I started to fully recover from an illness that had been shadowing my life for a long time. I had a desire to try and make others feel the way I did, share this healing practice and creative a positive impact, no matter how great or small. It was time to let go of the past that no longer served me, leave my job and fly to India to train.
Whilst creativity is still an important part of my life, and I like to incorporate this into my flows. Yoga has been the motivation to change my direction and live a more conscious and fulfilling way of life.
I truly believe yoga helps us to heal, restore and reconnect to ourselves and I am whole-heartedly dedicated to helping people find happiness in a world that can be so frantic.
